In the last decade the franchise business in
Egypt marked a rapid growth, because the success rate for
franchises is well over 85%, partly due to training and ongoing
support from the Franchisor, also it is a very effective way for
technology transfer.
The Franchise Department will provide awareness and
promotion for the Franchise Business in Egypt by introducing
international Franchisors and developing local Franchisors ,
also the section will facilitate Finance Small Business
Franchisees, Supporting Egyptian Franchise Development services
associations, organizing and participating in local and
International Franchise Exhibitions. |

Role &
Objectives: |

Building a database for the franchise business in
Egypt,
including data collection, updating and data analysis.

Participate in providing public awareness and promotion for the
franchise business in
Egypt.

Evaluate and study
new proposals from national and international franchisers
presented to the franchise department, to be franchised to SME's.
-
Suggest, design and
implement project profiles, manuals, legal contractual and
investment forms for lending SME's.
-
Provide technical,
legal and business support to SME's and to potential local
franchisers.
-
Organize conferences and seminars for franchise in
Egypt.

Organize local
franchise exhibitions and participate in international
franchise exhibitions.

Exhibition 2005
A Prestigious Event in Egypt |
 The SFD has approved to Finance
and manage an international Franchise conference and
exhibition, the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) international
Franchise Exhibition MIFE 2005, which will take place from 1rst
to 3rd June 2005 at the Cairo Marriott Hotel , MIFE 2005 is the
meeting point for prospective franchisees from the
region in an International event that serves as an
effective Franchise recruitment media.MIFE 2005 is held under the auspices of his Excellency the prime minister and financed by the the Social
Fund for Development , MIFE 2005 is a non- profit activity
promoting the integration of Franchise in MENA , it is
co-financed and organized by Egyptian Franchise Development
Association.
